Author Meet and Greet & Book Signing
Please welcome inspirational author Anne Salley as she shares insight of her recently published memoir, “Raised to Live”.
Her story might read like fiction, but it is 100% true. It is the story of a woman with tremendous faith, tenacity, and grit. Her childhood years were challenged by a progressive and incurable disease, Cystic Fibrosis (CF). Her adult years were marked by four organ transplants, Calciphylaxis, a stroke, and later a life-threatening brain hemorrhage. As one of her doctors put it, she is “Simply Indestructible.” Anne’s wish is that her story will inspire and provide hope for those who suffer from chronic illness, those whose lives are impacted by the chronic illness of a loved one, and those who are facing organ transplantation as well as those considering organ donation.
Anne Salley lives with her husband in Mount Vernon, Washington. She has two grown children and one honorary granddaughter. She is a long-time, active member of her church. Her passions include spending time with her family, teaching special education, quilting, enjoying the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, serving the unhoused in her community, and keeping up with her countless loyal and dear friends as far back as kindergarten.
Enjoy coffee, tea, and cookies with Anne June 27th from 11am to 1pm, at MQ Gadgets Gifts Goodies, 8706 271st St NW, Stanwood, WA 98292.
