Camano Fire Hall Museum Grand Opening
Come celebrate with us, as we officially open the doors to the CAMANO ISLAND
FIRE MUSEUM!
The museum was established to preserve the historical heritage of the fire service
on Camano Island, and honor the local heroes that served to protect the Island
and surrounding communities. The museum is located within the Camano City
Firehall - next to the 1906 Schoolhouse at 985 Orchid Road. Shuttle service will be provided
during this event from the Camano Chapel beginning at 10am.
A 9/11 Remembrance will begin at 11 a.m. featuring the North Snohomish
Firefighter Honor Guard, bagpiper, and bugle followed by a museum dedication.
Festivities begin at noon and include Camano Island Fire & Rescue apparatus,
children’s games, tours of the fire museum/schoolhouse and hotdogs! A
roundtable discussion with current/former fire service members begins at 1
p.m.
