Canva for Makers: Design Skills for Your Small Business
You don't need a design degree to make your brand look polished — you just need the right tool and a little guidance. In this hands-on intro class, you'll learn how to use Canva to create the everyday marketing materials your small business actually needs: social media graphics, product labels, price tags, business cards, flyers, and more.
We'll cover the essentials, including:
- Document sizes for different applications — from Instagram posts and Etsy listing photos to business cards and market banners
- Adding your logo and color palette using Canva's Brand Kit, so everything you make looks consistently "you"
- Choosing the right file type to export for each use — web, print, and social media all have different needs
Whether you're a maker, artist, or small business owner just getting started, you'll leave with the confidence (and a few finished designs) to keep your brand looking professional without hiring a designer.
No design experience necessary — just bring a laptop or tablet, and if you don't have a Canva account yet, we'll create one together.
