Island transit - Service Change Proposal - Public Meeting

Island Transit is planning service changes for March 2026, and we'd love to hear your thoughts! We'll be hosting public meetings during the first week of December, with two options on Camano Island:

We will be accepting public comments through December 8, 2025.

Proposal: Add “on request” stops to both Route 1 and Route 2 off Camano Drive on Russell Rd and Sunrise Blvd, as follows:

Weekday & Weekend

‍

• From Camano Dr, turn right on Russell Rd

• Turn left on Sunrise Blvd

• Continue on Sunrise Blvd to Hwy 532*

• Continue to Terry’s Corner

‍

*If a rider needs to go to Camano Plaza, the driver would turn left on Shumway Rd and continue on Camano Dr to Camano Plaza instead of following Sunrise Blvd back to Terry’s Corner.
