Camano Island and Stanwood, WA — The Camano Island Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Georgia Krause, is thrilled to announce the world premiere of Glass Quest, a short documentary capturing the magic of the Northwest Glass Quest. The premiere event will take place on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Stanwood Cinemas at the Pavilion, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.The Northwest Glass Quest, now in its 15th year, is a beloved local event. Participants (called Questers) arrive from near and far to search for ‘clue balls’ hidden throughout Camano Island and Stanwood, WA. The prize for finding a ‘clue ball’ is a hand-blown glass ball. Annually, only a few hundred people are successful in finding a clue ball. The event draws out tens of thousands of “Questers” each year. This year, filmmakers Georgia Krause and Sam Wolff embedded themselves within the "questing" community, documenting the thrill, surprise, and camaraderie that define this unique treasure hunt. Glass Quest offers an intimate portrayal of this cherished tradition, highlighting both the event and the people who make it special. This exclusive and family-friendly premiere will serve as a flagship event for MAC Fest, the Stanwood-Camano Arts Advocacy Commission’s (SCAAC) 2024 fundraiser.
